Farmers and RSPCA Board come face to face at meeting
« Reply #1 on: April 29, 2012, 05:33:41 PM »
Farmers and board members of the RSPCA came face to face at a meeting in Tincurrin on Saturday.

Issues such as the RSPCA's policy to phase out live animal exports was one major topic discussed.

Don Thompson who farms at Tincurrin is a board member of the RSPCA, as is Jeanette DeLandgrafft from Newdegate, the only two farmer members of the board.

Both thought it was timely that other RSPCA board members were given a taste of what the farming side of animal welfare was all about.

About 45 people attended the meeting representing farmers, industry people and the RSPCA.
